What we do. Why we do it.
Getting from concept to completion is a remarkable journey.
In our latest project, we are re-vitalizing an existing client website, www.graceartistry.com, from the old template-based site to a new WordPress version.
On the left is a screen capture of the old website. Its looking a little tired, and the portfolio needs more organization and clarity. You can click on this image to open the existing site and see for yourself. This website requires the web support person to manually add, edit and remove artwork and event notifications.
We’re still in the midst of these changes, but here’s what we’ve done so far:
First, we met with the artist and her manager, and reviewed options for a re-design. We also talked about what new features she would like to have incorporated in the design.
After some time spent checking out other similar websites, we found a style that would work. Our artist then selected WordPress as the best option to display her artwork to the world. The ability for her manager to administer the website and be able to upload new artwork was a plus.
Once WordPress was chosen, we reviewed several themes, and picked out one that would work for her.
Now, we are in the middle of the re-design, and are about half-way through the customizations needed to make this a fully functional, beautiful site to showcase her art. Of course, as it is WordPress, we can always change the theme mid-stream if we need to. You can see the work-in-progress on the left. Because this is still in the development stage, there is no public access to the site yet.
We’ll keep you posted on how this goes, and when this re-design is complete and on-line!
